JAKARTA: Singer Ello has said that he will release a rock album by the end of this year.
A single from the album will be released prior to the album release, he said.
'Rock music is the music I played growing up. I used to make my own music on piano and later guitar,' he was quoted as saying by tribunnews.com.
Born Marcello Tahitoe, to musician Minggus Tahitoe and the late singer Diana Nasution, Ello, 31, has until now been known as a pop singer.
For the album, he said, he collaborated with known rock musicians, including drummer Yoyo of Musikimia. 'I need variation on the album,' he said.
