e would like to clarify a news report entitled 'MRT to hand over dug-up land to city' that appeared on page nine in the Oct. 23 issue of The Jakarta Post.
Part of the last sentence in the report, which reads '['¦] and it may sell for Rp 100,000 per cubic meter', is less accurate because the land derived from the excavation process of the underground station of the Jakarta MRT project belongs to the Jakarta provincial government and therefore is not for sale.
The sentence contextually means to indicate that there is a certain party bidding to purchase the land at Rp 100,000 per cubic meter, but we have also explained that the land is owned by the Jakarta provincial government and is not sold. For readers' information, the Jakarta administration has chosen Tegal Alur Cengkareng, West Jakarta, as the dumpsite for the land.
