Upon arrival at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Mayang's remains will immediately be flown by a Garuda plane to Radin Inten II Airport in South Lampung, at around 5:50 p.m. on Friday.
'From Radin Inten II Airport, the body will be taken by ambulance to Bandar Lampung for burial,' said Bandar Lampung Communications and Informatics Office head Rifki Wiryawan on Thursday.
Rifki said the Queensland state government in Australia would cover all costs of repatriating the body, including burial. According to Rifky, the Lampung provincial administration has coordinated with hospital authorities in Lampung to provide an ambulance to transport Mayang's body from the airport to her parents' house and to the burial location.
