team consisting of officers from the Pekanbaru police and the Riau police arrested on Tuesday and Wednesday three suspects linked to a daytime robbery that took place on Jl. Sudirman in Pekanbaru, Riau.
'The suspects are identified as EE, 29, AF, 37 and MS, 34. They were all apprehended in their houses,' Pekanbaru police chief Sr. Comr. Robert Haryanto Watratan said as quoted by Antara news agency on Thursday.
He said the three suspects lived in Kampar regency.
He added that the police were still hunting for a fourth suspect, YP, who remained at large. All of the four suspects, he said, were recidivists.
On Monday, the suspects allegedly dragged a victim, Mulyono, from his motorcycle in busy traffic in front of the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) office on Jl. Sudirman. Mulyono, 58, hit the road and died at the scene, while the robbers reportedly got away with tens of millions of rupiah that Mulyono had intended to deposit at a bank.
Robert said the suspects initially targeted the victim several months ago. According to the results of police questioning, the suspects had been watching Mulyono's house since July.
