AKARTA: Pop punk band Rocket Rockers has chosen 'Mimpi Jadi Sarjana' (Dream of Becoming a Scholar) as the first single off its new album, Merekam Jejak (Recording a Trail).
The band said that the first single off its fifth album discussed troubles experienced in college.
'We decided to talk about the problems that most people experience. Some people spend an excessive number of years in college [when they could finish in just a few years],' vocalist and guitarist Aska said on Saturday during the album launch as quoted by kompas.com.
Love doesn't have to be the only subject matter of sad songs, said Aska. 'We're talking about troubles [that most young people face]. Most of us will face more problems [in life] if we have trouble in school,' he added.
