Despite the objection of Jakarta City Council deputy speakers and several other faction leaders, speaker Prasetyo Edi Marsudi unilaterally announced Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama as Jakarta governor in a plenary session on Friday.

We have to accept this decision. It has been decided that the governor of Jakarta is Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama. Some people maybe don't agree with this decision, but Ahok doesn't care.
The most important thing for him is that he wants to begin his work immediately. Now, just try to accept what has been happened. Maybe he will be a great leader for Jakarta. Hopefully Jakarta can become better under him.

Ahok deserves it. It is written in law that a deputy governor replaces the governor in this circumstance. I think there is nothing wrong with Ahok becoming the governor and I think no one deserves it more than Ahok to manage Jakarta.
