olice have identified the whereabouts of a man who allegedly raped several girls in his Almaa'uun orphanage in Palu, Central Sulawesi.
'We investigated and found the man in a water refilling shop in South Palu,' Palu Police chief Adj. Comr. Trisno Rahmadi told The Jakarta Post on Monday.
Trisno claimed the police had not arrested the man, identified as Muhammad Nur Astan, as they were collecting evidence against him.
He revealed that his officers had visited the orphanage and had found no orphans there, only a guard.
Dozens of orphans from the orphanage reported Astan to the Palu Police on Saturday for the rape of at least two orphans and for forcing orphans to work.
