Lerry Siwu was quite aggressive during the fight and unleashed a number of hooks on his rival, the Antara news agency reported on Monday.
In the fifth round, a strong hook from Siwu sent Eakkhumpol to the canvas and the jury declared a knockout (KO).
Sixteen boxers competed for the WBO Asia Pacific welterweight title. (hhr)
