The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed on a negative note on Wednesday, falling by 0.44 percent to 5,119.9.
Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) data showed that 165 stocks weakened while 132 stocks strengthened and 83 stocks remained stable by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, kontan.co.id reported.
The volume of trade involved 6.83 billion shares worth Rp 6.23 trillion (US$ 510.86 million).
Shares in the LQ45 index, which saw the biggest fall, included PT Delta Jakarta, PT United Tractor, PT Astra Agro Lestrari and PT Danayasa.
Meanwhile, shares that saw the highest increase during the closing session were PT Maskapai Reasuransi, PT Samudera Indonesia, PT Saratoga and PT Matahari Putra Prima. (nfo)(+++)
