he East Jakarta Police arrested two motorcycle gang members suspected of assaulting a 31-year-old military officer, who is currently in critical condition, on Jl. Pertigaan Arundina in Ciracas, East Jakarta.
East Jakarta Police chief detective Adj. Sr. Comr. Ade Rahmat Idnal said that the two men, along with eight others, allegedly assaulted Chief Private Wahyu Adi on Sunday because he accidentally bumped his motorcycle against the motorcycle of one of the gang members.

However, we arrested two of them. One of them was arrested in Depok [West Java], and the other in Ciracas [East Jakarta],' he said.
He added that the police suspected that the gang members had been under the influence of alcohol during the assault.
Ade said that the suspects could face more than five years in prison for major physical assault under Article 351 of the Criminal Code.
After he was stabbed, locals immediately rushed Wahyu to Tugu Ibu Hospital in Depok, Ade said. However, he was then transferred to Gatot Subroto Army Hospital (RSPAD) in Central Jakarta for intensive care.
