AKARTA: Singer John Legend and supermodel wife Chrissy Teigen hired several food trucks to hand out free grub in New York City to activists protesting a controversial court decision on the death of Eric Garner.
New York City has been facing multiple protests in the wake of the grand jury's decision not to indict the police officer who killed an unarmed Garner in a chokehold, as reported tribunnews.com
'So much love for the super generous & thoughtful @chrissyteigen @johnlegend for their support. #BlackLivesMatter Now come get fed!' Kimchi Taco, one of the food trucks hired on Tuesday, said on Twitter.
While the supermodel and her husband couldn't be in New York, they donated all of the leftover food to the homeless.
