he rainy season has just come. It can be a happy time for some people, but many more think it is a disaster, particularly for those living in flood-prone areas like those near the rivers. Because of a poor drainage system in the city, the flooding could affect even larger areas.

The conditions of the city, which has been overcrowded by its dwellers, has further worsened the impact of the flooding as most of the land has been converted into urban facilities: houses, commercial areas and infrastructure.

The floods in the city will continuously worsen unless the city enforces spatial regulations to prevent people from building their houses, commercial facilities and other properties in disorderly ways.

It will prevent further damage to the city environment.

In conclusion, we have to protect our environment so that we can control the flooding in the city.
