AKARTA: After 21 years in showbiz, presenter and radio announcer Muhammad Farhan has decided to call it quits and focus on managing Persib Bandung soccer club.
'I'm definitely sad, and going to miss it. But I have a new challenge to face,' he was quoted as saying by kompas.com.
Farhan, who is the director of Persib, started his career as a scriptwriter in Bandung in 1993 and became a radio DJ in 1997. He moved to Jakarta in 1999 and worked at Mustang FM, Hard Rock FM, Trijaya FM and Delta FM.
He is now shifting focus to his duties with Persib and will likely spend most of his time in Bandung.
'The national soccer scene is improving. We have seen a boost in investors and there is competition on and off the field,' he said.
