Djenar Maesa Ayu says she's looking for money to make her next movie.
'The upcoming film is entitled Nay, but as of this moment I don't have any investors to produce it,' the 41-year-old noted author and director said, as quoted by kompas.com.
Taking a page from Mira Lesmana's playbook, Djenar said that she would look for investors on crowd funding website wujudkan.com, similar to how Mira raised money for Atambua 39 Derajat Celsius (Atambua 39 Degrees Celsius).
Djenar, who won a Citra for directing her first feature, Mereka Bilang, Saya Monyet! (They Say I'm a Monkey), based on her short story collection ' said that filming on the project, featuring Sha Ine Febriyanti, would begin on Feb. 18.
