he police's Densus 88 counterterrorism unit transferred six terror suspects from Poso, Central Sulawesi to Jakarta for further questioning on Saturday.
The six were members of the East Indonesian Mujahidin (MIT) group led by Santoso and Daeng Koro in Poso, and acted as couriers, financiers and suppliers.
The six were identified as Ahmad Wahyono alias Yono Adem, Farid Ma'aruf alias Farid, Hasan, his wife Rosmawati, Amirudin (with the aliases Aco Tabalu, Aco gula merah and Bunga Desa) and Imran alias Lagenda.
They were arrested in raids launched by the Central Sulawesi Police and Densus 88 during the past few weeks.
The raids were launched following the killing of several local residents and the intimidation of farmers located near the hardline group's base in the regency.
The six suspected terrorists were detained at the police's Mobile Brigade's detention center in Kelapa Dua, Depok, West Java, Antara news agency reported on Saturday. (rms)
