It saddens me that corruption is so rife within the social structure of people. The guilty are the ones who live lavish, exorbitant lifestyles and have unexplainable amounts of money in bank accounts and registered assets controlled either by themselves or through a third party.
I don't think the corruption issue can be solved by this current generation. But it can start to correct the problem by teaching the younger generation in school about ethical and honest ways to live. It is the only hope for Indonesia.
Ethics needs to be taught to primary school children by Indonesians who actually give a damn about where Indonesia is headed. If not, the only way is down and Indonesia will be lost forever. These sorts of campaigns are successful in other countries for various subjects.
Come on now, surely someone who is in a position of trust and power could set the wheels in motion. Step up to the plate, batters and hit a home run for Indonesia. Let's pray for success, because that's all there is for the moment.

I think the arrest of Bambang Widjojanto ' a brilliant KPK commissioner ' by the Indonesian Police was just retaliation for the KPK's move.
So far, I only trust the KPK to combat corruption in this country and we still need figures like Bambang.

It would not have happened if the President had not made such a blunder by nominating a suspected corruptor as National Police chief. How poor our President is: he has to live in the shadow of Megawati.

The arrest of the KPK commissioner is how the police tell the people that they are the saints and the KPK is evil.

I say and say again: only under the leadership of Gen. Hoegeng was the National Police an institution trusted by the people. Nowadays, the people don't trust the police anymore.
How about the abolition of the institution? It is my only offer as a member of the grassroots.
