Police still waiting for analyses of CCTV, car

T

he South Jakarta Police are still waiting for the final evaluation of the Mitsubishi Outlander that was involved in deadly accident last week, as well as CCTV analysis from areas around the crime scene.

South Jakarta Police traffic unit chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Sutimin said that the CCTV analysis would be able to provide a clearer picture of the incident.

'€œThere are four CCTV'€™s at Transjakarta bus stops around the crime scene. We need time to check if they captured a good picture of the incident,'€ Sutimin told The Jakarta Post at the South Jakarta Police office on Thursday.

He said the car manufacturer company, which was responsible for conducting the evaluation, needed about three weeks to process its findings.

Last Tuesday, Christopher Daniel Sjarief lost control of the SUV he was driving on Jl. Sultan Iskandar Muda in South Jakarta, crashing into six motorcyclists and two cars on the congested street. The accident killed four people, including a police officer. (***)
