Oops. Thank you very much, finally we really and clearly know about you Mr. Police.

The media, including The Jakarta Post, has extensively reported about the dubious arrest of deputy chief Bambang Widjojanto of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Only after the public's outrage, interference by the KPK's lawyers, criticism by politicians and powerful individuals including human rights activists, he was released.
Apparently the police force is extremely nervous and afraid of the KPK, which is continuously investigating the police and in due course will surely divulge more names of high-ranking officers involved in corruption issues.
The public is calling out to President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo to support the KPK and not to side with the higher echelon which is currently being investigated by the only legal authority i.e. the KPK, which is working so hard to save Indonesia and its population from individuals who are robbing the country blind.
President Jokowi should not forget that he was elected by the majority of Indonesia's population
and he should demonstrate now that he is protecting the country's interests and not those of thieving individuals.
Failing the public at this crucial moment will result in mistrust which will harm his popularity on a massive scale and will surely turn the public against him.
He should not forget that his opposition is waiting for him to make grave mistakes so that it can take over.

It starts to worry me that our President needs an advisory team to reach the obvious conclusion. Is he that weak?

KPK and police friction is not new. The KPK itself is a political tool that ensured a second term for then president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Now everyone wants superfast decisions rather than waiting for fit and proper studies and the legal course, or media publicity and street chaos.
