n a bid to increase the area of open green space, the Parks and Cemeteries Agency at the West Jakarta municipality plans to build three parks called Bojong Indah, Hanoman and Wibisana in Rawa Buaya subdistrict, Cengkareng.

The agency'€™s head, Jauhari Arifin, said on Friday that his office had allocated Rp 1.4 billion (US$110,600) in the 2015 city budget to build parks on plots of land dedicated to social and general facilities.

'€œThe plots of land are currently being used by local residents who asked us to build the parks,'€ he said as quoted by beritajakarta.com.

Jauhari said the size of the parks would range from 200 square meters to 300 square meters. They will be equipped with various facilities, such as children'€™s playgrounds, jogging tracks, decorative plants and trees.
