he Tambun Police arrested four people on Wednesday for producing bootleg liquor at a house located in Villa Bekasi Indah housing complex in South Tambun, Bekasi, West Java.
Besides arresting four people identified as SR, WA, SU and IS, the police also seized thousands of bottles of bootleg liquor, a minivan and a number of tools and ingredients.
Tambun Police chief Comr. Ali Zuhron said on Thursday that SR, the house owner, hired WA, SU and IS to help him produce illegal liquor in the house, tribunnews.com reported. The liquor was allegedly to be distributed to a number of sellers.
Ali added that the raid was conducted based on the information from neighbors. The four suspects will be charged under Article 204 of the Criminal Code for distributing or producing goods that could potentially harm others.
