he Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed on a negative note on Friday as it declined slightly by 0.02 percent to finish at 5,450.29 points.
The depreciation of shares in the miscellaneous sector, which fell significantly by 2.07 percent during the final trading session, contributed to the fall of the JCI, kontan.co.id reported.
Besides the miscellaneous industry, shares in four other sectors traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended lower at 4 p.m. Friday, such as manufacturing and consumer products, which weakened 1.01 percent and 0.64 percent, respectively.
Stocks that strengthened in the closing session included mining, which recorded the highest growth with a rise of 1.65 percent, and agriculture, which rose 1.52 percent. (nfo)
