ez Rebels are the 2014-15 Apple Coal JCA Division 2 winners after recording a convincing six-wicket victory over Mavecrics Menarians at Cibubur in the penultimate weekend of league stage action. Electing to bat first, Mavecrics were out for just 72 in 25.4 overs with Corbon Loughnan (3-06) and Kirk Rimmers (3-11) ripping through the hapless Mavecrics defense in overcast conditions at Cibubur. Miraz Mongia was the only batsman to offer some resistance with a defiant 37. In reply, the Rebels raced to the target in just 13.5 overs, finishing on 74 for four. Corbon capped a fine all-round performance with a polished unbeaten 34. Modi captured two wickets for the losers.

Over at GMIS, national player Faisal Hashmi scored a brilliant 103 to power Senayan Lions to a massive 137-run victory over struggling Ceylon. Taking first lease of the wicket the Lions piled up 267 for five in 35 overs with Amar Kapadia supporting Faisal'€™s knock with a polished 43 not out. Dihan Silva was the pick of the Ceylon bowlers with three for 39. Ceylon was never in the hunt and folded up for a paltry 131 in just 25.3 overs with Nalaka Kodituwakku top-scoring with 44. Ashit Mehta and Cecil took three-20 each for the Lions.

In a rain-curtailed game in Purwakarta, GMIS comfortably defeated hosts Indorama by eight wickets. Batting first, Indorama were 102 for four in 19.2 overs when the heavens opened up. Kaushik made 36 and Imran took two wickets for GMIS. On resumption, GMIS were set a target of 103 in 19.2 overs and comfortably reached it, making 108 for two in 15.1 overs. Naresh Gupta made 34 and Jalaj Chaturvedi was unbeaten on 30.

The final round of league games takes place next Sunday and the Double Elimination round commences on March 15.
