The rupiah interbank trade rate was stagnant on Tuesday morning, trading at Rp 12,960 per US dollar.
Rupiah trade is predicted to continue its downward trend throughout Tuesday since the US dollar still dominates the financial market at the moment, kompas.com reported.
'Positive sentiments toward the US dollar are likely to continue until the middle of this week,' Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia research team announced in the morning.
The strengthening of the US greenback is triggered by the fact that the European Central Bank (ECB) will have a meeting on Thursday regarding its stimulus plan. (nfo)
