Future Music Festival Asia (FMFA) 2015 is coming to Singapore for the first time, bringing international and regional electronic, dance and indie rock talents together into the festival.

A total of 49 musicians are set to perform at the annual event, organized by Livescape Singapore and Future Music Group Australia, which will be held on March 13 and 14 in Singapore'€™s 140,000-square-meter Changi Exhibition Center.

Having attracted more than 55,000 people from 85 countries for FMFA 2014 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Muhammad Iqbal, Livescape Group'€™s CEO, said Singapore was ready to be the host of this year'€™s FMFA.

'€œWe recognize the value of Singapore as an international hub and up-and-coming center for music and entertainment in Southeast Asia. With its vibrant calendar of world class events, and exceptional infrastructure, it was only natural for it to be FMFA'€™s next home,'€ he said in a press release.

From the international list, Sweden sensation, Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii, is among the world-class musicians who will perform in the festival. Apart from performing tracks from his first album, True, he is expected to bringing songs from his second album, Stories, to the stage.

The Singapore show will be his only show in Asia, after cancelling his Jakarta show as a result of a breach of contract by the promoter.

English DJ and record producer Fatboy Slim, electronic music pioneer The Prodigy, which is currently working on its latest album, duo DJ Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz of New World Punx, Dutch DJs Blasterjaxx and two-time Grammy-winning DJ Afrojack will also join the international lineup.

Complementing the international stars are Singapore'€™s own homegrown talents and regional names such as Lion City Boy, Oliver Osborne, Indiego & Co. x Poptart, Goldfish & Blink and Glen Check, adding spice to the already electrifying ensemble.

'€œIn addition to the star-studded cast of international, regional and local acts, we also look forward to having a few more little surprises in store for all festival-goers on-site,'€ Iqbal said.

Revellers will experience different partying sensations as the organizer will also add several carnival elements to the festival, including setting up a carousel, bumper car ride, gryospin ride and stage dive.

World-renowned stage designer for large-scale music festivals, James Klein, has been tasked to bring his magical touch to curate the main stage, Supernova Stage, which will be one of the largest that Southeast Asia has ever seen.

Future Music Festival was first held in 2006 in Sydney, Australia, and was branching out to Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth in 2007. And since 2012, the festival has also regularly visited Malaysia before coming to Singapore this year.

Top-notch musicians have performed in the festival, including Dutch trance music producer and DJ Armin van Buuren, American rock, funk and hiphop band N*E*R*D, French DJ David Guetta, Swedish EDM DJs Swedish House Mafia and German Grammy-winning DJ Paul van Dyk.

Before Singapore, the festival will first be held in Brisbane on March 7, in Melbourne on March 8 and in Adelaide on March 9.
