Greater Jakarta: Seaworld could reopen soon

fter being closed since September 2014 because of a management dispute, Sea World, located in Ancol Dreamland recreational park, North Jakarta, looks set to reopen.

PT Pembangunan Jaya Metty Yan Harahap said on Friday that the management was looking at opening Seaworld by the end of March.

'€œWe are studying the financial report and are calculating the its assets. I hope it can begin operations at the end of the month,'€ Metty said as quoted by beritajakarta.com on Friday.

Tourism and Culture Agency head Purba Hutapea said the management'€™s plan to reopen Seaworld was good news for the capital.

'€œWe'€™re happy because it will add to the flagship tourist attractions in Jakarta,'€ Purba said.

He added that his agency was ready to inform the public as soon as the attraction reopened.

Seaworld was closed because of a dispute between Pembangunan Jaya and Sea World'€™s management, PT Sea World Indonesia, over management rights.
