he Jambi Police will join forces with the 042 Gapu Military Command and provincial administration to provide free medical services and foodstuffs to members of the nomadic Orang Rimba tribal community in Bathin XXIV district, Batanghari regency, on Wednesday.
'We will provide health care to them,' said Jambi Police chief spokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Almansyah on Monday, adding that doctors from the Jambi Police headquarters, Gapu Military Command and Jambi Health Office would be deployed to help the tribespeople, who were suffering from malnutrition and disease.
Jambi provincial administration chief spokesman Hendrizal said his office had coordinated with relevant agencies for the purpose and funding would be derived from the provincial budget. 'We are currently gearing up to make the activity a success,' said Hendrizal.
