myGadget: Miranda Mazuki: Appreciates first-hand experiences

JP/AWO

A new fashion designer in town, Miranda Mazuki, finds that gadgets are extremely important for her when it comes to work.

She, however, admits that she doesn'€™t really need them for her personal life.

Miranda, who launched her first line, Mazuki, in Jakarta recently, doesn'€™t find the need to get engaged with her gadgets when she'€™s off work.

The designer is not the kind of girl who takes her gadgets '€” at least a mobile phone '€” onto the bed. '€œAs a matter of fact, I seem to always forget to charge my phone on most nights,'€ she adds.

So, do you have any funny or interesting experience with gadgets, Miranda?

'€œNothing in particular except for the countless times I have destroyed and replaced my gadgets due to pure clumsiness,'€ she replies.

Miranda decided to come home to Jakarta after spending some good years abroad, such as Singapore and the US, to pursue her passion in fashion.

Before setting up her own brand, Miranda had several internship experiences in international brands, such as Jill Stuart International in Los Angeles as well as Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino and Opening Ceremony in New York.

After finishing her internship program in knitwear design division in Jill Stuart International, she took an opportunity to be the brand'€™s knitwear freelance consultant for a little time.

iPad 2 (first edition) and iPhone 6

I'€™m an all Apple consumer. I'€™m not really a freak when it comes to gadgets. However, I do enjoy getting on Instagram or use my iPhone and iPad to read my books and news for leisure.

MacBook Retina 15 inches

Apple has a very friendly graphic interface and the iCloud system makes it a great convenience to synchronize my files to all my Apple gadgets. Adobe would probably be my best friend when it comes to apps. I use it all the time to sketch and create graphical images for my inspiration. I can'€™t live without it.
