ine crew members were reportedly missing as of Wednesday after the KM Kumala Endah freighter sank off Belawan, North Sumatra, a day earlier.
The missing crew members have been identified as Sutimin, Icah Sulo, Ribut Wahyu, Suhadi, Mamuhoridi, Aries Sudianto, Rifado Brahmana, Daniel Marganda Sinaga and Ridwan. They went missing after the ship, laden with 710 tons of steel, capsized within a mile of the coast of Belawan on Tuesday afternoon.
A search and rescue (SAR) team has so far been able to rescue five crew members who had been drifting at sea for hours. They were taken to Belawan Port by the National Search and Rescue Agency's (Basarnas) KM SAR Nakula vessel on Wednesday morning.
