AKARTA: PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta will dismantle a pedestrian bridge located in front of the Chase Plaza and Mid Plaza buildings on Jl. Sudirman in South Jakarta on Sunday to make a way for MRT construction.

While the bridge is being dismantled, the Transportation Agency and the Jakarta Traffic Police will divert traffic in the area. An official statement from the agency says the work will take place from 10 p.m. on Sunday until 5 a.m. the next day.

'€œMotorists planning to travel on the road may take alternative routes through Dukuh Bawah in South Jakarta or Jl. KH Mas Mansyur in Central Jakarta,'€ agency head Benjamin Bukit said in the statement.

The road will be reopened after the bridge work is finished.
