Ahok has the support of the people and who cares if he makes some mistakes, at least he is attempting to make Jakarta transparent. His popularity will continue to grow, owing to his work ethic.

We must all now get our priorities right. First of all is the dubious budget, then we will come to Ahok's ethics. I believe many prefer having a rude governor to a corrupt system.

I back Ahok. Members the House of Representatives and the City Council should work like a multinational's board of commissioners.
Let Ahok as director and his deputy Djarot as executive officer assess the management of the budget.

The majority of councilors are used to the previous financial system and a sudden correction of that system will be a tremendous shock to all concerned.
More direct control of the budget is necessary as is the proper investigation of the budget. Employees found manipulating the budget should leave office for good or face demotion.
Ahok should not shrink from facing these corrupt brutes who are intent on forcing their way into the new system.
The success of Ahok in this case will impact on other provinces, so that they too can have clean, prosperous governments. Let us support Ahok, who is daring to try to eradicate corruption.
