The Law and Human Rights Ministry's Central Java penitentiary division head, Ahmad Yuspahruddin, said the convicts were transferred on Tuesday morning and would be placed in separate cells in prisons on the island.
Yuspahruddin said the convicts were Ahmad Taufik, Iswahyudi, Agus Widarto, Priyo Hutomo and Topan Amir.
Ahmad has been sentenced to seven years' imprisonment for his involvement in a bombing against the Myanmar Embassy in Jakarta in May 2013.
Meanwhile, Iswahyudi received four years, Agus got 11 years, Priyo got four years and Topan got eight years, in different cases.
Ahmad was to be placed in Kembang Kuning prison, Iswahyudi in Besi prison, Agus in Pasir Putih prison, Priyo in Batu prison and Topan in Permisan prison.
The convicts will add to the number of terrorism-related prisoners on Nusakambangan, including cleric Abu Bakar Ba'asyir.
