inger Erdian Aji Prihartanto, popularly known as Anji, says that he has changed his lyrical style to include more positive vibes compared to his earlier works.
The change is shown in his third single 'Hingga Hari Tua' (Until We Grow Old) from his self-titled album that was released in October 2014.
'I believe that all lyrics I sing are prayers. So if the lyrics are bleak, then life will be bleak. It also affects the listeners' mood,' he said during a visit to The Jakarta Post on Wednesday.
To gain more freedom in his songwriting process, the poem aficionado also plans to release an independent album comprising the musicalization of several poems that he and his friends wrote.
'The difference between mainstream and non-mainstream music are lyrics. In mainstream songs, we can't use words like 'corpse'. But I understand because children also listen to them. But if I make it [independent album] like this, I can write any kind of lyric I want,' he said. (fsu)(++++)
