Following reports of radicalization activities on the Nusakambangan maximum-security prison island in Cilacap, Central Java, the police have combed the island and found an illegal settlement comprising an Islamic boarding school (pesantren) and a mosque deep in a forest.
The mosque and pesantren are being used for activities by people from outside Cilacap without a permit from the Law and Human Rights Ministry, which has authority over the island.

Amazing, they could built the illegal pesantren on Nusakambangan Island where it's close to the evil convicts that stay there.

Surprisingly, they built it there. If there was no hidden agenda, I believe they would not make the pesantren in that difficult area. The police should make more investigations into this case.
We can see that Muslims can build pesantren or mosques on any area of Indonesian land. That's why they build in the city where they can access [facilities] easily.

Why would they hide the mosque and pesantren deep in the jungle if there was no nefarious activity going on? But I truly believe that the police did a decisive job in warning their management and if (and only 'if') anything 'naughty' was going on there, this warning will stop it for certain instantly and forever and ever and ever.
