Jakarta Energi PLN currently tops the men's division after scoring eight in the previous final-four round in Bandung, followed by Surabaya Samator with six and Jakarta Pertamina Energi and Jakarta BNI 46 in third and fourth position, with scores of three and one, respectively.
In the women's teams, Jakarta Electric PLN, the sister club of Energi PLN, also scored the highest mark at nine. Jakarta PGN Popsivo is in second position with six, followed by Jakarta Pertamina Energi and Jakarta BNI 46 with three and zero, respectively.
'All teams still have chances to secure a place in the final round. Besides, Rp 40 million [US$3,100] of development aid will be awarded to each men's and women's team that tops the second final-four round,' Proliga director Hanny S. Surkatty said on Thursday.
He expected that the Jakarta round would offer a more interesting showdown as all teams would give their best to secure a place in the final.
