AKARTA: Designer Ivan Gunawan has officially launched prêt-à -porter collections in Jakarta.
Famous for his exclusive and haute couture designs, the 33-year-old has started selling ready-to-wear collections in department stores.
'This is my attempt to get closer to my customers,' he told The Jakarta Post recently.
Before this, Ivan added, clients could only meet him for exclusive bridal gowns or custom-made designs.
The ready-to-wear collections are labeled Ivan Gunawan and are on display at Pondok Indah Mall in Jakarta. 'The price is also affordable, at less than Rp 2 million [US$155],' he said.
