em>Your comments on the warning from Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri to President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo to toe the party line, saying that the party's policies are consistent with what the public wants:
Megawati stated in her speech that she got Jokowi elected. That is far, far from reality. The PDI-P gained more power because the people wanted Jokowi.
Had he been a member of a different party, that party would have won the elections. Jokowi did not ride in on Megawati's train; the train was pulled in by the Jokowi engine.
No one should accept Megawati's claim that she made it happen. She did not.
A president should immediately, upon election, give up all party affiliations.
Their first duty is not to their affiliations, but to the people. Every party has both good and bad ideas.
The President needs to adopt the good and reject the bad. The president needs to lead, not follow.
Megawati wants to build a party based on her father's leadership but she is missing the mark by a few kilometers. I doubt he would be proud.

For a while I thought Jokowi was a decent guy surrounded by wolves, but now I am convinced he is completely incompetent.
He just got lucky in his last two jobs by having strong and far more capable deputies doing all the work.

Megawati told Jokowi to toe the party line, as the party's policies are consistent with what the public wants.
I shall comment in German, as it loses something in translation: da lachen ja die huehners: 'Even the chickens are laughing!'

Megawati is lying when she says the party's policies are consistent with what the public wants.
Megawati, you can fool one man all the time or all men one time, but you cannot fool all men all the time.
