BPJS TK joins one-stop services office in Jakarta

T

he Workers'€™ Social Security Management Agency (BPJS TK) has joined the one-stop integrated services (PTSP) office in Jakarta in a pilot project to provide four occupational social security programs before they are officially launched in July.

Head of the BPJS TK'€™s Jakarta regional office Rizani Usman said that the four occupational social security programs had been included at the PTSP office to show the Jakarta administration'€™s strong commitment to protecting paid workers and informal workers in the capital city.

'€œAll PTSP offices in the four mayoralties and Thousand Islands regency have inserted the four occupational social security programs into their services to the public through the PTSP program. Investors wanting to extend an investment permit or apply for a new permit are required to register their workers with the BPJS TK,'€ he told The Jakarta Post in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Rizani added that the cooperation with the city administration through the PTSP program was expected to help his side reach a target of netting 1.3 million new participants for the four occupational social security programs this year.

'€œMore than 81,000 civil servants will be directly registered with the BPJS TK prior to the four programs'€™ grand launch on July 1 that will be centered in Cilacap, Central Java,'€ he said, adding that he was optimistic Jakarta would be able to get 1.3 million new members and collect around Rp 14 trillion in total premiums from workers and their employers this year.(++++)
