he Jakarta administration is currently finalizing the documents of the 2015 city budget and will disburse the funds to the city's working units sometime this week, according to an official.
The Home Ministry on April 10 approved a city budget of Rp 69.286 trillion (US$5.37 billion) instead of the Rp 72.9 trillion the city administration previously proposed. The city administration has since then been scrapping and reducing allocations in order to fit the approved budget.
Regional secretary Saefullah said that the city had completed the budget revisions and reductions and was finalizing the documents to send to the Home Ministry. He, however, made assurances that allocations for crucial programs such as flood mitigation would not be reduced.
