helicopter carrying Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman missed its landing coordinates in Lampung Utara, Lampung, on Tuesday. To Amran's surprise, he landed in the middle of a Kartini Day celebration attended by groups of housewives in traditional attire.
The minister was originally scheduled to attend an event organized by rice farmers in Abung Semulih district where he was set to distribute 98 hand tractors and 1,700 cows.
"I was shocked when I landed and I could not see my director general, the governor and the local police chief. I was then greeted by scores of women in kebaya [long-sleeved blouses] who were celebrating Kartini Day," he said as quoted by Kompas.com.
Amran arrived at his intended destination over two hours later. (ren)(++++)
