Bell 205 helicopter belonging to the Army made an emergency landing during a regular exercise on Tuesday morning, landing close to a runway at Ahmad Yani International Airport in Semarang.
Ahmad Yani Army air base commander Col. Harryson Sitorus told journalists that though the incident had not interfered with commercial flights taking off or landing, the runway had been closed temporarily.
The runway was reopened after the Bell helicopter was towed to a hangar.
