fter an impressive performance on the weekend in the Rotax Max Challenge and Asian Max Challenge in Sepang, Malaysia, the Riser Shadaff KratingDaeng APD Motorsport team is playing down expectations for the next race in Subang Jaya.
Preparations for the third race at Subang Jaya in May would coincide with school exams, 'so we won't put too much pressure on the drivers. I tell them just to enjoy the races,' team principal Bunjamin Noor said on Wednesday.
Bunjamin hailed the team's performance on Sunday, saying it had made him very proud. Senna Noor brushed aside challenges from Moch Melvin of Malaysia and Ricky Tanioka of Japan to reach the finish line first for his second consecutive win in the prestigious DD2 class.
Barrichello Noor finished in fifth place in the Rotax Junior race, but his position was upgraded to fourth after the winner was disqualified, while Sergio Noor came in seventh position in the Micro Max race.
Team debutant Andrian Hassan was praised for finishing the Micro Max race. Bunjamin also attributed the success to the mechanic team comprising head instructor Didi Soekardja, Edward Terol of the Netherlands and Gohki Hashimoto of Japan.
