domestic worker identified as Murni, 50, was found dead after allegedly hanging herself in the bathroom of her employer's house in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, on Wednesday.
The criminal unit chief of the Cengkareng Police, Adj. Comr. Tosriadi Jamal said on Wednesday evening that Murni, who had worked for 20 years, had been found dead at 5 p.m.
'Her employee found her body. We are still investigating the case,' he said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Tosriadi said police had not found any indications of assault on the body and believe the worker, who came from Purwodadi, Central Java, had committed suicide.
He said that according to the employer's testimony, Murni had not shown any signs of distress.
Tosriadi said the body had been brought to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital in Central Jakarta for an autopsy.
