nactive Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) chairman Abraham Samad is ready to fulfil a police summons for questioning as a suspect in an ID forgery case at the South and West Sulawesi Police headquarters in Makassar on Tuesday, an advocacy team member has said.
The coordinator of Samad's advocacy team in South Sulawesi, Adnan Buyung Azis, said the inactive anti-graft body chairman would be cooperative as he was a figure who fully understood and adhered to the law.
"In our last communication on Friday, AS [Abraham Samad] said he was ready to fulfil the summons as long as he did not have any obstacle keeping him from coming to the questioning. He would be cooperative," said Adnan as quoted by tempo.co.id on Sunday.
Adnan said Samad's legal team, which joined with the Anti-Criminalization Advocacy Team, was still waiting for his client's final confirmation on his attendance, on Monday. If there was no any further information it could be confirmed that Samad would show up for his follow up investigation at the police headquarters on Jl. Perintis Kemerdekaan, Biringkanaya district, Makassar, on Tuesday.
Adnan said he was optimistic that Samad would be found not guilty in the ID forgery case if the case was followed up and brought to the court. (ebf)(++++)
