he Indonesian Military (TNI) has warned citizens of Indonesians fighting for the Islamic State (IS) movement in Syria and Iraq returning home.
Army spokesman Brig, Gen. Wuryanto said Indonesians joining IS would come back as well-trained militants.
'It must be monitored. They will come back home,' tribunnews.com quoted him as saying in a discussion on the elimination of radicalism on Monday.
He predicted the IS group would continue to increase in number. So far, between 500 and 600 Indonesian citizens have joined IS.
He said the military would continue taking an active role in blocking the return of IS fighters to Indonesia. (rms)(++++)
