ublicly listed PT Astra International, the country's biggest car and motorcycle producer, has allocated Rp 8.74 trillion (US$677 million), of its Rp 19.18 trillion net profits recorded last year, as dividends.
The decision was taken on Tuesday at the company's shareholders meeting. The dividend is equal to Rp 216 per share.
According to Astra, the dividend per share includes Rp 64 per share the company paid as an interim dividend on Oct. 31 last year. The remaining Rp 152 per share will be paid on May 29.
The company said the remaining Rp 10.43 trillion in net profits would be retained. (ren)(+++)
