ndonesia received Rp 82.1 trillion (US$6.36 billion) worth of foreign investment between January and March this year, up by 22.8 percent as against the same period last year, according to the latest figures issued the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).
Domestic investment also increased by 14 percent to Rp 42.5 trillion
"Most of the investments were made in Java and that mining and food industry accounted for the big chunk," BKPM chairman Franky Sibarani said on Tuesday. (ren)(+++)
