ormer deputy law and human rights minister has fulfilled a police summons to be questioned as a graft suspect on Monday at the National Police headquarters.
'Yes, DI [Denny] was questioned for the third time as a suspect,' police spokesman Brig. Gen. Agus Rianto told reporters.
When asked whether Denny would be detained, Agus said only that case investigators had the authority to do so.
Earlier this year, Denny was named a graft suspect in a case involving the ministry's online passport payment system, also known as the Payment Gateway, which was canceled after running for only four months last year.
Denny is accused of abusing his power by directly appointing two online service providers, PT Nusa Satu Inti Artha and PT Finnet Indonesia, to run the payment system.
The project allegedly caused state losses of Rp 32 billion (US$2.4 million).
Denny has also been implicated in five other cases, including a report filed against him for alleged assault. However, detective division chief Comr. Gen. Budi Waseso denied that Denny had been named a suspect in any other case.
