he police late on Monday seized several items and documents as evidence in their investigation into a graft case involving the procurement of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units in the Jakarta administration's 2014 budget.
The chief of the anticorruption sub-directorate at the police's Detective Corps Sr. Comr. Muhammad Ikram said that 16 investigators had been deployed to the City Council building in Central Jakarta late on Monday, and raided the meeting room of the council's Commission E on welfare, councilor Abraham "Lulung" Lunggana's office and incumbent Commission E secretary Fahmi Zulfikar Hasibuan.
Ikram said that from the Commission E meeting room, investigators seized one box of documents, three computers and CPUs and one digital recording device.
From Lulung's office investigators confiscated two backpacks and one folder of documents. Lulung chaired Commission E on social welfare in 2009 until 2014.
Ikram, however, did not reveal what the investigators seized from Fahmi's office.(+++)
