Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama threatened on Monday to demote Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Trade (KUKMP) Agency head Joko Kundaryo for his alleged failure to manage street vendors
akarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama threatened on Monday to demote Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Trade (KUKMP) Agency head Joko Kundaryo for his alleged failure to manage street vendors.
Ahok said he was disappointed by Joko's slow progress in managing the city's street vendors, adding that Joko did not understand his vision of the city's street vendors (PKL)
"I've already told the KUKMP agency head what I wanted but it seems that he does not yet understand. He is also progressing too slowly in managing PKL in the city," Ahok said during a meeting open to the public at City Hall.
"I might just replace him with a female official because I've seen that women perform better in the Jakarta administration."
Meanwhile, Joko smiled at Ahok's remarks and vowed to perform better. (nvn)(+++)
