Govt sets deadline for Golkar, PPP to settle internal conflicts

aw and Human Rights Affairs Minister Yasonna H. Laoly is asking the Golkar Party and the United Development Party (PPP) to file lawsuits with the state administrative court against his decision regarding their internal conflicts.
He said the legal proceedings had to be completed before July 28, the last day for them to register their candidates for regional heads with the General Election Commission (KPU).
'So the internal conflicts must be settled before the registration of regional head candidates with the KPU on July 26 to 28. This is the deadline for them to register their regional heads with the KPU,' kompas.com quoted him as saying on Monday.
He claimed to have not interfered in the two political parties' internal affairs and their internal conflicts.
The minister made a decision to recognize Agung Laksono as the leader of Golkar and Muhammad Romahurmuziy as the leader of the PPP. (rms)(+++)
